Some events are special because of where they are held or what happens during the day. Others become special because of the people who continue to show up and the relationships that grow stronger each time they do.
For us, the UNICOM Engineering Golf Classic has become a little bit of both.
On October 6, customers, partners, sponsors, friends, and team members came together at Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth, Massachusetts, for our 2026 Golf Classic. It was one of those beautiful New England fall days that gave us the perfect setting. But what made the day memorable was the people who filled it.
The day was filled with conversation, laughter, friendly competition, and genuine appreciation for the chance to spend time together outside the day-to-day of business.
And, in many ways, that is exactly why this event means so much to us.
Relationships That Go Beyond Business
The relationships we build with our customers and partners matter deeply to UNICOM Engineering. The Golf Classic gives us an opportunity to celebrate those relationships in a completely different way.
We were especially excited to welcome new customers and partners this year, along with so many familiar faces who keep returning to support the event.
The experience actually began the night before, when guests joined us at Trillium Brewery in Canton to relax, have a drink, and reconnect before heading to the course the following morning. Those informal moments of simply spending time together set the tone for everything that followed.
We are especially grateful to Dell Technologies for continuing to support this event and, more importantly, for the partnership behind it. Their continued involvement means a great deal to our team.
We are equally grateful to every sponsor and partner who contributed. From the beginning, the Golf Classic was designed around a simple idea: bringing people together while giving back. Event proceeds are distributed to charitable organizations, making every sponsorship part of something much larger than a day of golf.
The Part of the Day That Matters Most
As much as we love golf, the most meaningful part of this event happens when we pause and remember why we are all there.
This year, we were honored to welcome representatives from the New England Center and Home for Veterans and The Will to Live Foundation. Their stories and messages of hope brought the day's purpose into focus and reminded us why supporting organizations like these matters.
Rosie's Place couldn't join us in person this year, but its mission and the people it serves remained central to the purpose behind the event.
These organizations remind us that when people come together, what begins as a golf tournament can extend far beyond the course.
What the Golf Classic Says About Us
At UNICOM Engineering, we spend most of our days talking about technology, solving customer challenges, supporting partners, and getting things done.
The Golf Classic gives us a chance to step outside of that for a moment.
It reminds us that strong businesses are built by people, relationships matter, and success creates an opportunity to help others.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, golfers, partners, and supporters, the 2026 Golf Classic raised more than $30,000 for organizations focused on homelessness prevention, veteran support, and teen suicide awareness.
We're proud of that impact.
But we're just as proud of how it happened.
It happened because partners came back to support us again. New customers and partners joined us. Our team welcomed guests, spent time together, and helped create an experience that felt less like a corporate event and more like a gathering of people who genuinely enjoy being together.
That is what makes this event special.
Thank You for Being Part of It
To everyone who joined us at Trillium, played a round at Pinehills, sponsored the event, volunteered, contributed, shared their stories, or simply helped make someone feel welcome, thank you.
And to the New England Center and Home for Veterans, The Will to Live Foundation, and Rosie's Place, thank you for reminding us why gathering together matters.
The Golf Classic gives us a chance to do something we believe in deeply: bring good people together, strengthen the relationships around us, and use those relationships to make a difference.
And when a beautiful day of golf can do all of that, there is a lot to be grateful for.
